The Carlow Dad Rock Club was founded by John Duminy, a software engineer and small business owner, as a solution to a challenge every amateur musician knows: finding somewhere to play, and people to play with.

"It gives people something to do on a Tuesday night — so why not?"

From that simple idea, something remarkable has grown. What began as a casual jam session has evolved into a thriving community that meets every fortnight at Scraggs Alley — to play, to learn, and above all to have fun.

We operate in a nurturing, ego-free environment where enjoyment always comes before perfection. All ages, all genders, all levels of experience are warmly welcomed. No parental status required.
